Boarding the Last Time - Seattle Bound

Boarding for Seattle and then flying home tomorrow. It is been a great cruise! We had a fantastic time, but we are also very much looking forward to getting back to Ohio, the kids, friends and other family members.

Sea Otter

Happened to see a family of sea otters on our way back to Fisherman's Wharf and then onto the ship. I didn't get a very good shot of them, but here's a glimpse of one of them.

Seusville Pine

Not sure what type of tree this is, but it looked like something out of a Dr. Seuss book 😋

U-Bicycle

We have seen a few of these randomly placed on Corners throughout the city of Victoria. I was tempted to download the app and try it out.

Another Pic of Fisherman's Wharf, British Columbia

Lots a little restaurants and some street entertainment here, as well.

Fisherman's Wharf Park, Victoria

Take me to look at Aldi houseboats and businesses in Fisherman's Wharf, Victoria, British Columbia. Pretty spot

Final Stop - Victoria, Canada

Just made our final stop in Victoria, British Columbia. Going to visit some spots in town. Right across the bay is Port Angeles, Washington, where we visited last year while at Olympic National Park.

Dennis, Kim and Jen on Creek Street

We had a good day walking through Ketchikan and visiting the many shops. Jeff and Mary were on another excursion so we caught up with them later in the day.

Ketchikan Info

All about Ketchikan

More Creek Street, Ketchikan

Here's a better picture of Creek Street, Ketchikan

Creek Street, Ketchikan

Creek Street is it location that is a must visit while in Ketchikan! Jen and I docked near it on the Princess Cruise 26 years ago. Ketchikan has since expanded quite a bit and the ships dock about 1/4 mile away from here now.

We Made It!

We made it back safely thanks to our pilot, Larry. Larry's been flying since 1975. He was an ex Navy pilot from Elyria, OH and a great guy to get to know a little bit. How neat is that? Small world!

Approach to Ketchikan

Here's a shot of our final approach.

Ready to Fly Back into Ketchikan

After a short break and taking in some of the beauty, we loaded back up to head back to Ketchikan. Here's a shot on Dennis and I prepping for take off.

Short Break to Take it All In

We flew in and landed on this little lake. I didn't catch the name of it, but our pilot, Larry, from Elyria, gave us a few minutes to get out and take some pictures.

More Beautiful Fjords

Another beautiful pic of some neat nature!

Beautiful Fjords

There are awesome views everywhere we look!

We're Up

A view of our ship, Carnival Legend and another in Port this morning.

Take Off

Away we go!

Misty Fjords Float Plane Ride

Blanch and I were very lucky to catch a float plane to fly through the Misty fjords.

Docking in Ketchikan

We arrived about 6am in Ketchikan Sunday morning.

Departure from Juneau

In line to board the ship and depart from Juneau.

Red Dog Saloon

Jen and I posed in front of the Red Dog 26 years ago and here we are again 😊

Hangar at the Wharf

Grabbed a quick lunch at the Hangar on the Wharf

My Lovely Wife

We had to walk a mile or so back to a location for Lyft to pick us up. I paused to snap this great shot of Jen in front of some wild flowers.

Jen and I - Mendenhall Glacier

I had a lot more hair the last time we had our picture taken in front of this glacier 26 years ago 😉

Mendenhall Glacier, Juneau, AK

Docked in Juneau this morning. Took a Lyft out to Mendenhall Glacier to start our day. Neat little fact...It has receded at a rate of 30 feet/year. That means it was about 780 feet closer to us when we took these pictures on our honeymoon! The waterfall on the right was covered in ice at that time.

Dinner at the Red Onion Saloon

Grabbed a quick bite to eat at The Red Onion Saloon. Off to tour Skagway a little longer before getting back on ship and heading for Juneau.

Back Down White Pass

Heading back down White Pass into Skagway.

Trail of 98

White Pass, Trail of 98. Miners took these paths through the mountains and into the Yukon in their quest for gold. Several lost their lives in the attempt, including over 3000 horses left for dead or shot along the way.

Wooden Bridge

I was relieved to find that wasn't one of the bridges we were taking😊

More to Behold

The unbelievable sites keep popping up around every corner.

Glacial River

Glacial melt producing roaring rivers along the entire route. Nature is neat😉

Beautiful Mountain View

Beautiful sites to see throughout the entire ride!

Everyone Enjoying the Sites

Everyone enjoying the beautiful scenery!

White Pass Train Ride

On our way!

All Aboard

Boarding the train heading up White Pass into the Yukon. All aboard!

26 Years and Counting - Skagway

It was nearly 26 years ago that we were married and were last in Skagway. Time slips by so fast. I'm a very lucky man to have spent it with this beautiful woman.

Jen and I - Welcome to Skagway

Another pic of Jan and I in front of the welcome to Skagway sign.

Jen and I in Skagway

Spent most of the morning walking the streets and shops of Skagway with the Blanchards. Going back to the ship to drop some things off and then on to the train ride up White Pass into the Yukon after lunch.

Streets of Skagway

Here's another pic of busting downtown Skagway today.

Quaint Little Downtown Skagway

Great little town! Much busier than the visit 26 years ago on our honeymoon. It's expanded quite a bit, as well. Lots of shops.

Skagway - Train Station

Girls checking on tickets for today's train ride.

Putt-Putt Deck View of Skagway

My View from number 2 tee this morning 😁Beautiful Golf Course overlooking Skagway.

Skagway

Arrived in Skagway this morning. Norwegian Cruise Lines look like they are "parked" right next to our ship.

An Evening Stroll with the Blanchards

Just took in dinner and this evening's show with the Blanchard's and Ritz's. Out for a short stroll on our way back to our rooms.

Back to the Ship

That was a beautiful excursion! Time to go back to the ship.

Another North Sawyer Glacier Pic

Here's another pic of North Sawyer Glacier. As blue as it appears, it's even bluer (more blue) in person.

Another Waterfall

Yes another waterfall. You can never have enough pics of waterfalls 😉 they're neat!

North Sawyer Glacier

The girls stayed indoors for this glacier. It's chilly! Here's a pic of us fellas in front of North Sawyer Glacier.

One of Many Waterfalls

Waterfalls in every direction! Here is just one of the several we have past passed.
